Would you do the same for your children? This COVID crisis has reversed so much progress that was made with food and resources in Namabasa. The ability to provide enough to simply sustain life has become nearly impossible. I'm not referring to enough to feel full... simply enough to stay alive. This situation shows the true impact of our current times. The poorer have become even poorer, and I'm shudder at the thought of being in such a situation as this mother. However, I know I would do the same. I would do whatever it took to feed my children even if it cost me my life. This mother was caught stealing food for her children, and her life was literally on the line.
There is good news to share.
Praise be to the Lord Jesus! The man & owner of this field choose forgiveness and provided hope. He was an honorable example of love in this moment. We are thankful and working hard to replenish supplies to the village to provide support to the children and their mothers.
