Why is sponsorship important?

We love this question. It is an important one.

With endless needs in today's world, and the plethora of fundraising websites, we often ask,

"Is this donation truly going to where it should go?

Is it truly making a difference?"

A Child Lives is a registered 501c3 non-profit. We are passionate - with every ounce of our heart and soul - to making sure that every penny is being used for the care of the children sponsored through this organization. We are one of the few organizations that does not keep any child sponsorship donation for administrative purposes.

With that being said, we are 100% volunteer, and every dime goes to sponsorship, therefore, we have a simple website and may appear a bit "old school" with our administrative system.

Let us share the story of 2 orphaned brothers, Peter and Alex.

Peter and Alex were abandoned by their parents and left under the care of their cousins. They had no clothes, no food, no home (unless they found spare dirt space in their cousin's' home), and definitely no education or medical care. Can you even imagine?

How does sponsorship create life-changing impact?

Peter and Alex write letters to their sponsor family sharing about their dreams to be teachers, how much they enjoy playing with their friends, and always sharing their love for Jesus!

These boys, as many others, are thriving because of people like you! Ordinary people stepping up and turning $1/day into the extraordinary.

Often situations arise in Namabasa that require additional funds. For example, Namabasa recently experience severe drought followed by a severe flood. All gardens were gone! Therefore, the people absolutely had no food, or money! A Child Lives was able to step in and provide emergency relief due to generous donations made by amazing supporters.
